June Book Group
Don't forget Book Group has been changed to the following week June 23rd hosted by Gwen McKenzie. In case you didn't get the email she sent out I will copy the message she sent;
'We will be discussing Stewart McLean. He is a Canadian author who usually writes short stories. He has been host of the CBC show Morningside and he is now host of the CBC show Vinyl Cafe. I love his short stories but I especially love to hear him read them. I have posted a link to the Vinyl Cafe web site, so if you’d like to listen to one of his stories, read by him you can choose the format and listen for yourself prior to book group on June 23rd. http://www.cbc.ca/vinylcafe/listen.php?vLocale=podcast Please note that even if you don’t have an iPod you can still listen right from your computer.
He has also compiled his short stories in several books, some of which I have lent out to members of our group (and hope to get back). These are available at chapters or any other book store and all have the Vinyl Cafe in the title. "
Also we are going to be putting together our book list for the next year of book group so please bring your suggestions for books that you would like to host.

June - Girls Night Out
We are going to be changing the date of our Girl's Night Out now to Saturday June 27th
The plans are the same, we are going out to see a girly movie (the proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds) and then out for ice cream at Marble Slab. The time will be announced closer to the day but will be for an earlier showing around 7:00ish. Please let Candise know if you are coming so she can save enough seats
